If your mental health has been affected by yesterday’s announcement about the ease of some restrictions, and you’d benefit from peer-based support, get in touch with our CHECK-IN team on 1800 845 009.
CHECK-IN is not a crisis service. If you, or someone you know is in crisis, please call Lifeline or Beyond Blue.
We are offering a connection and support program for people with lived experience who are finding the current pandemic situation difficult and would benefit from a peer-based response.
If you call VMIAC’s CHECK-IN program, you will have a 20-30-minute conversation with a Peer Worker, which is strengths-based and informed by Intentional Peer Support and Narrative Therapy.
If after that you are feeling you need further support, you can move on to one, a few, or all the following options:
Peer Support
1:1 sessions with a Peer Support Worker using a strengths-based framework
Group Wellbeing (Yoga, Meditation or Wayapa Wuurrk)
Group Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation or Wayapa Wuurk led by qualified instructors
Group Wellbeing (Peer)
Peer support group sessions led by a Peer Support Worker
