Closing the mental health care gap: Co-designing resources for Emergency Department Staff

An invitation to participate in research

Have you ever attended a hospital emergency department for a mental health related concern?
Are you over 18 years? Do you live in Victoria?
Then we would like to hear from you!

This research project, conducted by RMIT University and other partners, is interested in understanding people’s experiences of attending an Emergency Department (ED) for mental health related concerns. We’d like to know what care and support was offered to you, and what this experience was like.
If you have attended an ED for a mental health related concern, we would also like to hear your views on how staff can provide better care and support.

Why?

Based on the information that we gather will be used to produce educational and training resources for ED staff. These resources will improve how ED staff respond to people who present for mental health related reasons.

People who participate in the interview will receive a $50 gift card.

Please contact us if you are interested in participating in this project and/or would like more details:
