Consumer Workforce Research Grants

VMIAC is pleased to announce Consumer Workforce Research Grants are available and welcomes your application.

This initiative will provide small grants of up to $20,000 to support a person working with consumer workforce expertise.

These grants will support consumer workforce research that is built on consumer expertise and practice. VMIAC acknowledges the barriers that consumer workforce members have to accessing grant funding and leading research projects through traditional pathways. VMIAC recognises that the consumer workforce are often part of research projects, but rarely have access to grants where they lead the research question, design, implementation and analysis.

Key inclusion criteria:

  • The applicant identifies as a current member of the consumer lived experience workforce OR
  • The applicant identifies prior experience in an identified consumer workforce role AND is currently undertaking research OR post-graduate study OR a venture that contributes to the consumer lived experience workforce knowledge.

Diverse and intersectional perspectives are sought for this opportunity.

VMIAC encourages and invites applications from: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; people who identify as LGBTQIA+; people who live with disability; older Victorians (above 65 years of age); younger people (18-26 years of age); people living in regional or rural areas; and other under-represented communities.
