Wayapa for VMIAC members (online)
April 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
As a part of VMIAC’s first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), VMIAC’s RAP Working Group invites our lived experience community to practice mindfulness through a First Nations lens.
Wayapa Wurruk is a mindfulness practice which draws from Indigenous wisdom to encourage wellness through a deeper connection with the earth; as well as promoting mental wellbeing. Participants are led through poses that represent all the elements of nature, through this practice, Wayapa reminds participants of their responsibilities to care for the planet and respect all living beings.
These events are some of the perks of being a VMIAC member, registrations for this event will be promoted through VMIAC’s newsletter to members. If you are not a member and are interested in the Wayapa sessions, we encourage you to apply to become a member today – membership is free!
