VMIAC welcomes the decision by the NDIS Minister Linda Reynolds to place the introduction of Independent Assessments on hold until the results of the NDIA’s Second Pilot of IA’s are known. VMIAC calls for greater transparency from the NDIA about its plans to introduce Independent Assessments in response to widespread concerns raised by Advocacy and Disability Organisations about their suitability for use in assessing disability support needs and eligibility.
