11.10 From Sunday October 11th 11.59pm, all Victorian must wear a fitted face mask when they leave home, no matter where you live. Read more here.

28.09 In response to Victoria’s better then expected COVID-19 numbers, some restrictions have been eased, To find out more check out The Age.

08.09 With lockdown being extended the ABC have written up a guide on all the changes made as part of the Victorian governments COVID-19 roadmap. Check it out here.

07.09 In Dan Andrews roadmap announcement yesterday some relief was given to those isolating alone with the introduction of social bubbles. This plan begins to address some of the mental wellness inequality that those living alone have faced during these times. Read more about it here via the ABC.

05.08 – The Guardian have put together a concise rundown of new stage 4 lockdown rules currently affecting those residing in Melbourne. These restrictions are quite complex, and impact all of us from everything to our personal to our professional lives, and penalties for breaking these new restrictions can be quite harsh. 05.08 -Part of the new restrictions is that those in the Melbourne Metro region, for the most part, can only travel within a 5km radius. Check out how far 5km is for you here!

Mental Health Updates

10.08 VMIAC understands that for those with mental health issues, as well as other disabilities, compulsory masks wearing can be a problem. DHSS have developed a exemption badge for those with a valid reasons to not be wearing a mask, download it below.

10.08 – Victoria’s mental health system has received a significant funding boost by the Victorian government. This funding is a direct result of the rising mental health issues faced by Victorians currently dealing with the COVID-19 crisis. Read about it here.

05.08 – The Australian Government will provide 10 additional Medicare subsidised psychological therapy sessions for people subjected to further restrictions in areas impacted by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
