Join the NDIS Consultative Committee

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) invite NDIS participants and community members to submit expressions of interest to join their new combined Consultative Committee.

This is a remunerated opportunity.

About the NDIS Consultative Committee

This new Committee combines the NDIS Commission’s Disability Sector Consultative Committee and Industry Consultative Committee. It will bring together people with diverse experiences of and expertise in issues affecting people with disability who are committed to ensuring the safety and quality of NDIS supports and services.

The Committee connects people from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission with stakeholders to ensure that participants’ voices are considered as part of the decision-making process.

Up to 20 people will be appointed to the Consultative Committee.

Who should apply?

The NDIS Commission is seeking a diverse mix of stakeholders, from all Australian states and territories who can commit to a minimum of four 2-hour meetings a year. This includes:

  • People with disability or lived experience with disability
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse people with disability
  • First Nations people with disability
  • Children and young people with disability
  • Women with disability
  • People with intellectual disability
  • LGBTIQA+ people with disability
  • People with experience in governance and regulation, particularly in the human services sector

People interested in participating in the Consultative Committee should read the Terms of Reference for more information and submit an expression of interest by
COB Wednesday May 31, 2023.
