About this event
What is a skill, some piece of knowledge you’ve accumulated, or a strength, that helps you or your community keep moving forward? As people with lived experience of emotional distress and/or mental health service use, we all encounter storms along the way. We take time to rest. We celebrate reaching our destination.
Journey of Our Lives is an invitation to take a walk with us as people with living experience, towards what we fight for, what we value and what we are committed to. We are tying up our shoelaces for a trek of co-reflection, collective care, and connecting to what keeps us well and strong.
The path of this journey has been paved by young people before you. You are walking in their footsteps. Your wisdom will contribute to other community members who decide to take this chapter of their journey.
This free program runs over ten x 1.5hour sessions, on a Thursdays at 4.30-6pm and is delivered online via Zoom.
To be eligible, you must be between 18 and 30 years old and based in Victoria.
Your companions: Journey of Our Lives is facilitated by CHECK-IN peer workers with living experience of mental distress, and/or service use. We use the knowledge of Intentional Peer Support, therapeutic arts and Narrative practice in our work. We have guest facilitators join us for trauma-informed embodiment and Wayapa Wuurrk.
