Consumers Leading in Governance is an exciting pilot program for emerging consumer who are ready to take the next step in their consumer leadership journey. Its objective is to build capacity of mental health consumers to participate in the leadership and governance arrangements across the new mental health system.
The program is comprised of two components: a training component and a placement component. VMIAC will reimburse the travel and accommodation costs for two selected regional/rural participants to attend the face to face training.
This application will take 20-30 minutes to complete. We are asking for information about your work experience and personal details to ensure that a diverse range of consumers can participate in the pilot program.

You must lodge your application before the closing date and time, at 11:55pm on February 13th 2022. Late applications will not be accepted.

Applications will be shortlisted and successful applicants will be required to attend an interview with the VMIAC selection panel in late February.
Please note that we have limited places, and if you are not selected there will be further opportunities to participate in similar programs moving forward. Applicants must have lived/living experience of mental health challenges and/or emotional distress
