In 2016 VMIAC, the peak body for consumer advocacy in Victoria, hosted the inaugural Consumer Awards. These Awards recognised the significant contribution that consumer workers made in Victoria.

The 2021 VMIAC Consumer Awards. Friday 5th November, 2021.
Our Awards Night is an opportunity to celebrate, acknowledge, and support the ongoing achievements of consumers, consumer workers, and the consumer movement in Victoria. It is our honour to host these Awards. We celebrate those who raise the voices of consumers and improve consumer experiences.
Taking place from 6pm on Friday 5th November, our Awards Night is a free, collaborative and celebratory online (virtual only) event. All you need to do to attend is register using the Eventbrite link.
Recipients of six Awards were nominated for this year:
The Human Rights Award; The Intersectional Advocacy Award; The Consumer Worker of the Year (Community) Award; The Consumer Worker of the Year (Clinical) Award; the Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) Award; and The Ally of the Year Award. We will also be awarding our seventh Award: The VMIAC Lifetime Achievement Award on this special night in November.
