We are really excited to Welcome Gabriel to the team here at VMIAC.
Gabriel is the Senior Policy and Research Lead at VMIAC. He plays an executive role supporting the development of organisational priorities in policy, research and VMIACs advocacy agenda. Gabriel is passionate about mental health, recovery and wellbeing. Gabriel has been a social worker and policy professional for over 15 years where he has had a history working in the areas of prevention and responses to family violence/sexual assault, older people’s services and advocacy, disability advocacy, Illness prevention and healthy environments. Gabriel has published articles on LGBTIQ+ experiences of mental illness, family violence, homelessness and research focusing on the experiences of carers of LGBTIQ+ people living with mental health issues and trauma. He looks is passionate about raising diverse Lived Experience voices to VMIACs policy and research activities, partnerships and among our stakeholders
