VMIAC Conference Bursary Application 2019
October 30 - November 1
Can you afford to come to the VMIAC Listen Up Listen Louder Conference 2019?
VMIAC is offering a limited number of bursaries to pay for the people who couldn’t otherwise afford to come to the conference. A Bursary is a scholarship or grant that is paid on someone’s behalf.
To qualify for a bursary, you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be a consumer worker whose organization refuses to pay for you to attend the conference.
- Be consumer of mental health services on low income.
- Be a consumer who never attended a VMIAC conference before.
- Be of cultural or indigenous background.
Applications need to be on or before October 14th, 2019 and you will be notified by October 18th, 2019 if you are successful.
If you are successful in obtaining a scholarship, you will be asked to share your experiences with the VMIAC membership. This may be through writing about the conference for the newsletter, talking at a meeting, painting a picture or any other form you would like to use. You will be provided with support to do this.
Information on the conference is available over the page.
