VMIAC has welcomed the Victorian Government’s decision to develop a dedicated supervision and training consortium for the consumer workforce.
We’re proud to bring our knowledge and expertise to the new consortium, known as The Collective, and to work alongside our key sector partners, including the Self-Help Addiction Resource Centre, Harm Reduction Victoria, the Carer Lived Experience Workforce Network, and Tandem.
The Collective is crucial to Victoria having a scaled and skilled mental health workforce capable of delivering on the Royal Commission reforms.
While the Collective is part of the transition away from the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL), which will close on 1 July 2025, VMIAC thanks the staff for their outstanding work and commitment to the sector.
The Collective will work with the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing to ensure a whole-of-workforce approach to workforce capability development.
