Member Connect

The membership of VMIAC has been steadily increasing over the past year and our members are critical in the advocacy work that we do; especial with the Royal Commission, other reviews and inquiries and representations to government. Our members inform our systems advocacy with such processes as the implementation of the recommendations of the Royal Commission, the Productivity Commission and the work of the NDIS.

Given the changes that are happening in the mental health sector at the moment it is critical that we hear from you about the current situation and future changes in the way that mental health services and programs are delivered.

In its recent strategic planning, the Committee of Management made connection to and engagement of members a major priority. We want to know who you are, your experience and knowledge, your current and potential involvement with VMIAC and how you would like VMIAC to become more effective in its systems advocacy.

To achieve this goal we plan to contact and interview every member of VMIAC over the next couple of months. We would like to have a short conversation with you about these issues and how you might contribute to the future development of VMIAC in the new environment that is being created. We need to ensure that we are presenting your many and varied perspectives and how we can best involve you in that process.

We will be promoting this process on our website, in our newsletter and Facebook. We are writing to let you know that this is happening and asking for your involvement over the next weeks.

If you wish to update your contact details please contact the office on 03 9380 3900.

Thank you in anticipation
