Update! Tribute for Dom on the 28th August
Please join us in remembering Dominic Troughton as a friend, colleague, and fierce advocate in a tribute from 10.30 am -2.30 pm on 28th August, 2023.
This event will be held at Ceres Learning Centre – CERES Community Environment Park, Lee St, Brunswick East VIC 3057, Australia.
We invite members of VMIAC and community members who knew Dom to pay celebrate Dom through words, art, and music.
If you would like to attend, please register here on Humanitix by Thursday 24th, August 2023 so we can make catering and other arrangements.
VMIAC can support you to attend with AUSLAN or other interpreters, taxi vouchers, or myki top-ups. Please let us know by the 24th if this is required.

We are sad to share that Dominic Troughton has passed away from a heart attack. Many of you would know Dominic from his work in VMIAC advocacy team and as a recipient of the PHD Scholarship partnership with VMIAC and Melbourne Social Equity Institute.
For those that knew Dom and would like to pay their respects, the funeral service will be held at the Lilydale Memorial Park on Monday 21st August at 10am. This will be followed by a burial service at 11:15am. There will be a live stream and the link will be available on the Lilydale Memorial Park website here. Refreshments served after the burial at The York on Lilydale.
The VMIAC team are also organising a tribute which will take place the week of the 28th August and will update our website and social media when details are finalised.
