We’re establishing a Membership Advisory Group which is a dedicated space for members to share their insights, experiences, and ideas and help shape our membership events and community.
We warmly invite all members to express their interest in joining this group.
Selection process
We’re aiming to select a small, diverse group of members who reflect our community. Selection will be based on a range of factors, including your experience, perspectives, skills and interests.
- Applications will be opened between the 23 April and 08 May.
- Applications will be reviewed after the 08 May
- We will be contacting all applicants directly via email
- The group will include approximately 8-10 members
Payment
Participation in the Advisory Group will be paid at the Consumer Register rate of $180 + GST per four hours.
Time commitment
- Monthly meetings (approximately 2 hours)
- Up to 2 hours of preparation per month (e.g. reading or reflecting on materials)
- The advisory group will run for an initial period of 8 months – starting on Wednesday 10 June at 6:30 pm
Your role as an Advisory Group member will include:
- Attending and actively participating in monthly online meetings
- Reviewing and reflecting on materials provided ahead of meetings
- Providing feedback on VMIAC’s work, including projects such as the website redevelopment, events, and campaigns
- Sharing your views on what is working well and what could be improved
- Contributing ideas on how to better engage, support, and activate our membership
- Offering insights and advice to help shape our future direction
