LIVED EXPERIENCE VOICES IN RESEARCH

VMIAC embraces, enables, empowers, & emboldens the lived experience community

OUR QUESTIONS, OUR VOICES, OUR WAY

Through our Lived Experience Voices in Research program, VMIAC aims to provide engagement opportunities for people with lived experience to reflect on the evidence base for change in mental health service design and delivery.

We aim to support consumers to identify and highlight gaps in evidence and critical issues for further research.

We will:

  • Consult people with consumer lived experience at least once a year to identify priority and emerging research topics,
  • Use consumer recommendations to influence research agendas and set priorities in mental health research.
  • Work to increase consumer engagement, involvement, and leadership in developing research principles and setting research agendas.
  • Work to increase consumer engagement, involvement, and leadership in developing research principles and setting research agendas.

HAVE YOUR SAY

If you are a VMIAC member or other person with lived experience, you will soon be able to register your interest in joining a 2023-24 Lived Experience Voices in Research Program forum.
