VMIAC’s Navigating My Way Project

VMIAC are running the Navigating My Way (NMW) project, funded by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. The project is by and for people with lived and/or living experience of psychosocial disability, mental ill health, or as a consumer of mental health services.

The purpose of the project is to help consumers get what we need from the NDIS by making things easier and more accessible. It involves co-design of self-advocacy tools and resources for consumers and service providers.

The project will help consumers:

  • understand their rights in navigating NDIS application, review, complaints and appeals processes
  • self-advocate
  • navigate NDIS service providers
  • choose NDIS supports

Consumers can participate in this paid opportunity by joining the Advisory Group or co-design groups, which will be held from November 2023-June 2024. ⏰ 📅
